At the Marché du Film, Creative Europe MEDIA hosts some 200 selected European film and audiovisual professionals in a 400 sq.m. pavilion and seaside terrace. We operate the Pavilion on behalf of EACEA, the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency of the European Commission.
Stand participants have the services of a front desk with international hostesses, a messaging service, work spaces, Internet corner, wifi connection and a free private bar.
The European Pavilion hosts cinematographers (institutions, producers, festivals etc.) For those who are primarily in Cannes to boost their international sales, there is a Creative Europe MEDIA area in the Marina Club (Riviera H6). This has tables and chairs reserved for Creative Europe MEDIA participants. A hostess takes messages and schedules meetings. There is wifi and a storage area.
What it costs to enjoy the value-added services
All these services are free.
- Market accreditation: €256 per person (excl. VAT) This entitled participants to a Cannes Market badge with access to the European pavilion and Cannes Market Screenings. It is also valid for the Cannes Festival.
- €312 per person (excl. VAT) Market accreditation and Producers Network or Market Accreditation and Producers' Workshop. The Producers' Network is for producers whose main activity is production and who have produced at least one theatrically released feature film within the last three years. The participant must show a credit as a producer, co-producer or executive producer. Line producer's or associate producer's credits are not accepted. No exceptions are made. Those who met these criteria enjoyed the benefits of the European Pavilion PLUS access to roundtable Breakfast Meetings of some 200 producers and top decision-makers held every morning for 7 days, Speed Dating sessions held to help producers find potential partners, and Happy Hours every day to provide a casual forum to carry on conversations over a drink.
- Festival accreditation: This is free and provides access to Festival screenings and Market areas (Palais, Riviera, Lérins and Village International).
Who is eligible?
Full details of the eligibility rules are to be found here.
What is the deadline?
The deadline to be listed in the official guide is April 6, 2016, but we have exercised our right to close registrations early as soon as our capacity was reached. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis – subject to Creative Europe MEDIA accepting that participants are eligible.
How do I register?
Sorry, you are too late. All places have gone.
If you have been deemed eligible, you have received or will receive a code. You use this code to register on the website of the Marché du Film either solely as an umbrella participant or to be part of the Producers’ Network/Workshop as well. When we send the code, we also send precise instructions on how to do this.
The team which organises umbrella stands for European independent producers and their distributors at international film and audiovisual markets on behalf of the Creative Europe MEDIA sub-programme of the European Union.
We’ll be there. Why not join us?
