Call for expressions of interest:
Buyers’ briefing/Workshop organisation @ MIPCOM 2020, which organises stands at international film markets under contract to the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency of the European Commission (EACEA), wishes to receive expressions of interest to organise and moderate buyers’ briefings and workshops at MIPCOM 2020, currently scheduled to be held from 12-15 October. The successful candidate is expected to arrive in Cannes on 11 October and depart on 15 October.

The successful candidate will organise:

  • 20-25 buyers’ briefings, including identifying potential buyers, making contact with them, scheduling the briefing, obtaining information and approval for fact sheets distributed during the briefings. These 30-minute briefings are attended by up to a dozen participants. The successful candidate will share moderation of these briefings with one other consultant. The successful candidate will also moderate the Tips from our Pitch Doctors briefing and provide input to same-day post-briefing updates of the factsheets. Buyers will be MIPCOM participants hosted under the Creative Europe MEDIA stand.
  • 4-5 workshops on topical issues of interest to the circa 250/300 participants on the Creative Europe MEDIA stand operated by on behalf of EACEA. Participants are mainly independent SME’s from the audiovisual industry. The successful candidate will identify the workshop topics and speakers, and may wish to moderate certain workshops, but this is not a requirement. Speakers will as a general rule be MIPCOM participants.

Organisational assistance is available for briefing and workshop planning and logistics. arranges/reimburses travel, accommodation and incidentals. The fee and the number of days will be a matter for negotiation with the successful candidate. Conclusion of a contract is conditional on MIPCOM 2020 taking place and being contracted for the same services as in the past.
