Yves Jeanneau is the founder and General Commissioner of Sunny Side of the Doc, and of Asian and Latin Side of the Doc. He is also the creator of Sunny Lab, which is dedicated to cross-media training.
Yves Jeanneau has over 25 years’ experience in French documentary filmmaking and over 100 films to his production credit, such as Patricio Guzmán’s award-winning films Chile memoria obstinada (1997) and The Pinochet Case (2001).
He ran Les Films d’Ici, a production company, for sixteen years at the start of his film career before spending five years as Head of Documentaries at the France 2 television chain until 2005. He was then hired by Telfrance, for whom for five years he oversaw the documentary label Äikidoc, specialising in documentary films, real-life dramas and multimedia platforms.
Aside from his production activities, Jeanneau has been running Sunny Side of the Doc since its inception in 1989 and developed it into a major meeting place for documentary professionals.
